How is Global Access different from secure VPN?
Unlike VPN solutions Global Access has 2-Factor Authentication and additional encryption levels as standard.
As a secure access system, ISEEU Global Access does not move data. To put it simply it creates a 'private secure road' to access and open applications and work on data that resides within the organisations systems. The advantage of this is that the remote device is purely a monitor and does not pose a security risk if lost or stolen as the information was never transferred to the device.
In addition, a VPN deployment requires that every remote device has each application client installed individually, creating a support headache for the organisation. Furthermore, VPN deployments will cache data on the end-user device - should the device be lost or stolen this represents a major data security breach.
Can the interface be changed to customer needs?
Yes, minor changes can be made within the parameters of a deployment. The product can also be fully customised in accordance with the client requirements, though such modification would be chargeable.
What client hardware is supported?
PC, MAC and thin-client devices.
Can the product be provided as a virtual machine?
Yes the product can be provided as a number of virtual machines, depending on the deployment scenario.
What types of IT system can be accessed using the product?
Most IT systems whether browser, thin-client or fat-client based can be delivered using the application publishing component. ISEEU Global Access secure access system, in addition, can be used in VPN mode to deliver applications to clients installed on the remote device.
